My name is Brittany Hydock. I come from a small suburban town outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, called Plum Borough. I live with my two sisters, Kira and Krista; brother, Alec, and parents Jody and Dennis. I love Plum because it is a nice mix of suburban and rural areas with its housing plans, farms, open fields, and woods. I started attending Penn State New Kensington my freshman year of college, pursuing the Pre-vet major. Fortunately for me, this branch campus was really close to my house, and I could stay at home for the first two years of my college career. This allowed me to stay near my friends and family and also to continue to take care of my horses. For ten years now, my family has had three horses; two Quarter horses named Ritz (my horse) and Owen, and a Paint pony named OB, short for Obadiah. I have had a great passion for all animals since I was little, especially for horses, and have had a great variety of animals throughout my life. Along with horseback riding, my other interests are anything that involves the outdoors like fishing, hiking, biking, swimming, cave exploring, and also reading. I am now into my junior year and in my second semester at University Park. I became involved in Christian Student Fellowship the first semester I moved up to Main. They are such a great group of people that make me feel a part of a bigger family while I am away from my own family. They have really helped me transition that first semester and continue to help me on my path to seeking Jesus Christ.
